After spending a frustrating day I'm not sure if the Ford Engineers who designed EA wanted deliberately to make dizzy /TFI removal hard or just had an off day Could anyone enlighten me how one removes the dizzy/TFI without having to do a total strip down around the injectors? [I should say I found the removal and replacement of the dizzy cap is a major challenge especially the rear clip. Perhaps an old hand can pass on a trick of the trade?]

Sorry mate it's a bastard of a job if you have a multi point engine. Worse if your car is on LPG too like mine is. You don't have to remove the manifold though. First remove the Air cleaner lid & snorkel then the dissy cap & leads then the dissy comes upw

Jim tks for the great description. It sounds like we also ought to check the same connector next to the IAC valve. Sorry this may sound like an idiot question; roughly where is this connector relative to the dissy?. Cheers

Hello Mike, The connector is on a tongue that is bolted down to the front bolt that holds the IAC to the top of the throttle body. Roughly six inches forward of the distributor. The wile is so pale pink it almost looks white in some light.
