Hi, I'm new to the car scene, I have heard XB referred to as soft top or hard tops what is the difference? Which is better? Confused

hi both soft and hard have a metal roof but they call the soft top a soft top cause it has a vynal overlay on it the vynal one can pick up a lot of rust fron condensation so just be werey if you are looking to buy one look for bubbles and have a push on

Can you take the vinyl off? Cause I really don't like the look of the "white" on the top?

Hello, Never heard of an XB being referred to as a softtop but a hardtop XA, XB or XC is the coupe. They are called a hardtop because they have no B pillars so the roof has to be tougher to cope with the extra stress.

hi yes you can take it off but the paint under there usually isnt much chop but can be fixed .

The only time I have ever heard of any car being called a soft top was if they were a convertible and there were no XB convertibles. As for the Hardtop part that has already been answered. Hardtops did come with a vinyl roof. It was optional on Falcon
