Im just woundering how far u can go wih ignition timming. im running on BP Ultimate and ive herd people say that u can go up to 12 deg BTDC but im not shure and i dont want to cause any detonation. thanx for any help.

Mine was set up @ 12deg by specialty tuning in adelaide, only pings on regular unleaded. (sometimes i am cheap !) I am running almost 10:1 pistons. Just keep an ear out if it detonates just back it off a bit.

The initial timing for your motor is not the determining factor, it is the total timing advance that counts as well as the advance as your motor climbs through its rev range.
