Guys/Girls

Came across another Acacia Ridge XX7 Sandman with a 2200kg GVW. That's two HJ XX7's with the wrong GVW, both incidently owned by a member of this forum.
I'm still looking for GVW/GVM data off any HQ-HZ utes or vans. If any of you have one of these or see one and have the time could you please email me with the actual GVW, especially if it is less than 2200kg. Other detail would be nice like original engine size or VIN number, number of seats etc.
As many of you know I am compiling a Sandman 'register' of sorts, not at the moment anything like Ben Stewart's Monaro register, but just a list to see what pops up or becomes obvious with bulk ID data.
I am VERY interested in non-Sandman vehicles with a reduced GVW as this means they are an XU4 option. I think I've almost got enough GVW data to positively identify most XX7 Sandmans, but the XU4 variant does cloud this and that is why I need more data. The existance of Acacia Ridge XX7 vehicles with 2200kg GVW bothers me, as this sort of 'red-herring' probably also exists in other plants, which means that the Sandman is impossible to positively identify. Has anyone got an Acacia Ridge Sandman with XU3 on the body plate, as what I'm thinking is that these two HJ ID's i've got are actually XU3's with XX7 stamped, as maybe Acacia Ridge never actually stamped a HJ with XU3???

Byron

The reduced GVW was solely due to passenger tyres on a commercial vehicle.
