Does anyone know whether it is relatively easy to fit one of the OHC engines and transmission from the 90's EA-EL falcons into an XC-XF body? I thought that maybe ford did this with the utes and vans from 88 on that kept the XD-XF setup, so it wouldn't be too hard??

Speedway guys fit the 4.1 crossflow straight into the ea eb model falcons. The engine mounts, sump etc are exactly the same. So putting an OHC 3.9 engine into an earlier model should be easy. The only difference would be the gearbox mount. They changed fr

my mate put the ED Xr6 motor into his Cortina falcons are a bit larger.. so i guess it maybe a bit different.
he had to change the sump (1/2 falcon and 1/2 Cortina) to get it to sit on the crossmember. he's got a site with all the pix n sh!t of what

The easy way is to find a wrecked 93-96 XG ute or van with the 4ltr. The EA-ED engine mounts up to the front end of the XA-XF no problem but you will have have to sort out the gearbox cross member (later XF 5 speed one would doif using an XD-XF car) unles |
