Morning all,
Figuring my old discs on my 186 HG are a bit shagged, I'm looking at upgrades. Rare spares list the following parts:
DBA002X - DBA SPORT DISC ROTOR FRONT HK HT DBA003X - DBA SPORT DISC ROTOR FRONT HT HG V8
Both are cross drilled/slotted. Which one should I use? I have a HG-6, bottom one says HG-V8, top one does not specify HG at all but would assume both should fit?
When changing to this rotor, does anything apart from the disc need to be changed? eg calipers, pads, fluid lines... etc.

All HG's have the thicker discs, like the HT Bathurst. All HK and all HT (bar Bathurst) have the thinner discs. I'd say this is the distinction DBA is making. Try both DBA and RDA. I think you can but direct from them |

Hi Guys.
Just to clarify which disc is which.
All HK & HT (Exc GTS350) use the DBA002 which is 1/2" (0.5"). HT GTS 350 & all HG use the DBA003 which 5/8" (0.625") thick.
The thicker discs require the calipers with the spacers between their 2 half |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

So, just to clarify...
Does that mean I can use the DBA003X on my HG Prem and still use the current stock calipers/pads/hoses?

Yes, if it has the original HG front end. Seen plenty that have had replacement front ends before. Just check as per Dr T's description. If all looks like he says, then go for it. |
