The indicators on my HJ Wagon stopped working recently. I have checked the fuses and they are OK. I even took the steering wheel off and checked the indicator mechanism and that looked OK. The only recent work I have done is replace the standard steering wheel with a GTS wheel.

Any suggestions on what to check next. Is the flasher unit involved?

Try shorting a small length of wire across the flasher unit to see if the indicator lights come on at all. If so, then there's your prob (and a v short term fix is to handrualically flash until can track down new unit).

Check power feed and earth conne
