We are currently fitting a V8 into a Vk wagon, the V8 is fitted with high rocker covers to fit over roller rockers. The problem we face is the rocker covers hit the brake booster, so is there a solution to this problem? The VK was a six, is there a differance in booster size between the six and eight? Any help or advice would be great on this as we dont want to go through all the hassel of moving the booster over. Thanks for looking, :-). |

Yes there is, the 6 has the smooth faced booster which is a larger diameter than the V8 dual diaphragm unit - which has a "lumpy face" and is an inch or so thicker.
Have a look at the support bracket on the front of the master cylinder. See how it is |
