I was wanting to know the length and weigth of a BA engine. I have been thinking about putting one in my LC torana 2dr for about 6mths. Want something no one else has got.

yeah theres probably a reason for no one else having a ford engine in a holden! if u want a ford engine buy a ford... dont cross the breeds coz ul only get an abortion.

great idea and the only way to get a 6cyl holden to go hard,put a ford 6 in it.

That is not a stupid question by any means. I could think of lots of reasons why you would want to put a late model Ford inline six into a Torana and the reason why countless thousands of people have put Chev engines into Fords would be one of them.

The other thing which needs to be taken into consideration for an engine swap like this is the ECU. Not sure if the BA Falcon one could be used as it has a heap of features that wouldn't be used on Torana and might not work.

What you will find is simply that if you want a radiator, bonnet and firewall this engine will be no good to you. Trust me I know a guy that had enough trouble fitting it to an EF Falcon

Hey mate , I think that you may find 3 things the depth the height and the trans in a ba BA for less of a better word is f@#$king huge , I think that you would need yo make substantial mods too get it too fit eg engine bay and trans tunnel , the bit tha

dont listen to the people saying dont cross breed, cause i put a 308 t400 in a 98ford transit,,
I nearly put a ford six in it,?
the ford late model six engines are good engines, have no idea how you will go, but good luck,

Good comment FB I too would love too see it done and see a post of it on hear ,, and yes late model ford motors are a good motor , the first of the series did do the occasional head at very low ks so somthing too be aware of ,, and i belive the twin cam 4

nothing is impossible.....but why that engine?? i agree with the none brand mixers red and blue is purple not a good option..i have seen ad's for a company doing approved swap kits to suit ecotec 6's and if you really want to make a statement twin turbo o

292 Chev straight 6. Looks enough like a red motor when painted rocket red to confuse most people on first glance. Bolts straight to a TH350 or TH400 or Muncie and almost anywhere a SBC does. Work the head, hot cam and triples. In a light car like an LC/J

4.0 Ford engine won't fit unless you want to knock out the firewall and cut a hole the size of the engine in the bonnet.
Had the same thoughts myself before I measured up.
