I am having problems installing a Tecosha electric brake controller on my AU falcon wagon. All connections are tight and wireing is as Tecosha circuit but I suspect I have electronic interference from the ABS brakes or cruise control. Trailer braking is poor and variable but better with the headlights on ? and the controller interferes with the radio.

I previousley fitted one of these to my 95 Longreach & it worked fine

It sounds like you could have a bad earth connection either on your brake unit ore more likely between your car & trailer. The improvement with the headlights on tends to point towards this.
