Never tried... never had one to try with... now its the ex's problem... (unfortunately)
I think the lip over the lights would cause a problem... the existing bonnet has had the front edge rolled.
I miss my VL !!!

noticed there was one on ebay a few days ago
the guy will take 10grand for it drive away
not sure if it sold or not though
