Hi there,
the other day I got pulled over for a random vehicle check :(.... The guy in blue said "your seatbelt is frayed, I'll let you off this time but...........". So I've ordered these seatbelts and wonder how to fix them - The Gregory's doesn't mention seatbelt replacement at all... I reckon I got the long bit sussed. just undo the bolts and put the new one in... but the question is - do I need to take the seat out to replace the short bit? (I've never taken the bench seat out) or would a mechanic laugh at me if I asked them to do it (or worse still roll their eyes, and secretly rub their hands together?)

Can you see the bolt where the short part of the seatbelt mounts to the floor. You may have to get behind the seat and see if you can find it. If you can get a spanner on it, then you should be OK. Rare Spares sell "A1" replacement belts ~ many coulours too. If you have the old sash type upgrade to inertia reel. All you need to know is how to drive a spanner or socket wrench.

No, I don't have the inertia upgrade. From the state of it, it's probably the original seatbelt..... I didn't even ask about the colour when I asked the guy to order me one... I pick it up tomorrow arvo, so I'll know then.

lol now I got a bitsa ute - two brown original seatbelts and one new beaut black inertia seatbelt. the fun never ends lol
