Hi does anybody the power and torque of a bbc 427 and do all big blocks overheat? thanks

Depends upon compression ratio, cam, port size, valve size. Anywhere from 300 to 700hp. All SBC and BBC overheat if you don't have a big enough radiator and a decent fan and shroud.

Does it overheat all the time or just when it idling etc?

hi, i am just looking into engine options at the moment and i heard that it is hard to keep bb running cool. is this true

I am led to believe that the sheer size of the big block leaves less room for air flow in and around the engine bay which definitely does not help the cooling situation.
Anything can be overcome though with the appropriate radiator/shroud/fan etc for the
