I have a hk monaro in need of a paint job and am
looking to do it without spending the earth.
I am willing to get my hands dirty and do some of
the work myself in order to keep costs down.
Any body know of any one able to help me out?

You can try Lenny at The Panel Shed at 19 Station st Diamond Creek (94384344) He has done some work for me and has given me good prices but you will have to do most of the trim, chrome, lights ect removal and get it towed their, Give him a call or drop in

You could also try Al Jon Panels in Fawkner (9359 4508 ask for Mark or John). I believe they even won Small Panel Shop of the year in the Paint and Panel Awards this year.
