I've been trying to realign the driver side door on my HQ wagon to allow for the ware in the hinge and have been stuffing around for a few hours but can't align it well.
Does anyone have any tips/advice on how to align the door correctly so I get the solid door thump when it closes? I am concerned that even if I get a new upper hinge I'll still have issues trying to align it properly.

If the hinge is worn it won't really ever line up properly as it wil always get pushed out when it is shut, and ride the lock. If you adjust it to compensate for this, it will do one or the other. Hinge repair kit sounds like a good idea. |
