Just like to know what holdens reasoning for making one rear wheel arch bigger than the other on HQ to HZ vans and utes.

It's the same with VG-VSIII utes. Reason - possibly an ex Ford Engineer?? |

I can understand the VG-VS3, as the panhard rod forces the axle across under heavy loads, but this wouldn't occur in a HQ-WB with leaves.....

I meant longer on one side. I discovered this when cutting conveyor belt for the rear of my brand new VSIII on the day after I bought it home (Xmas day 2000). One wheel arch (passenger's side I think) is heaps longer. I must say that I don't recall the sa |

I could understand the RH one being longer if the VG-VS ute shared the wagon pressings - in the wagon the fuel filler nozzle runs down the rear of the RH wheelarch, and the inner arch is a lot longer, but it puzzles me that the LH one is longer!

It may have been the RH side, but one was longer. |
