I am putting 253 blue motor trimatic and 10 bolt diff in kingswood, want to run it on lpg. It is stripped down in the garage at the mo waiting to get some cash to recondition it! It was running on lpg before I bought it. When i stripped it 3 pistons had brken top rings! I heard curving the distrutor helps burn the lpg, do i need hardened valves for the head? I have lpg tank and lpg converter any tips would be much appreciated. ps i will be selling good runner 202 red motor, trans and diff once the 253 is in if there is anyone interested I am in southeast brisbane

recurving distributor to suit gas will optimize it for gas and make it a pig for petrol. Given the current state of fuel prices and emissions regulations I would recommend you go straight gas and rebuild your engine to suit.
YES you will need to have
