Guys

A mate of mine has a Sandman that he is considering selling. It's a really good windowless shell, rust free and virtually unmarked. It is a Carribean turquoise (1935) example with chamois trim (60V). It's a factory 308, M21, 3.36 diff. I saw this van 10 years ago on a property out west minus motor, box, diff and GTS instruments. It was put back on the road with a 253, M20, banjo and kingswood instruments which is how it is now. The body still has it's original paint and stripes and is complete, however it must have had a front smash at some stage as it now has a HQ chassis (possibly the old one cracked on rough roads). The front panels are a bit knocked around as it has been a country car, and one of the doors is dented but has a good door to go with it. If he does sell it it can come with a rolling HZ ute/van chassis with 308, M21 and Salisbury diff. He may eventually list it on Ebay, but if anyone is interested in getting hold of a nice Sandman in one of the better and rarer colours and even rarer trim combo that needs virtually no body work contact me and I'll give you his details. Panel van bodies in this sort of shape don't come up too often, let alone as a 308 Sandman.

Not 100% sure yet. I talked to him yesterday, and I think he is going to lift the whole body and front off and drop it onto the other chassis. The other chassis is currently a complete and running HZ ute, with a good 308. The panels that are damaged on th
