hi all, I've taken off my cylinder head (red 202) and noticed that about 3 of the bores are glazed. Is there anything at all (short of a rehone) that I can peform by myself to maybe 'rough them up' abit??

I'm sure glazed bores are not good, in that you will lose compression? ect. but while the heads of I'd like to do what I can to get the internals back to it's best for some more reliable motoring. Thanks for any help at all.

LJ,

Yes you can do a re-hone yourself buy getting a fine stone hone kit from Repco etc. However, it is only short term and really may not produce the desired "magic fix" you want. It is possible you may also make the bores worse if you get it wrong. Yo
