hi all,

i m havin an oldskool BMW 316i..i m unable to engage in any gears although i m able to shift the gears from 'P' to all others..which means the car could not even move..so could u guys help me out on what to check out for? and the possible faults?..

Check to make sure the auto has enough oil in it.

Maybe a BMW-specific forum might be more help long-term?

check the selector mechanism isn't loose
