i took the paint code of the complance plate and took it to the paint shop to mix up about 2L's, the guy at the shop put the code into thier computer to get the paint mixture and 12 different colours came up with the same code...the code is A ... how do i get the code for the one colour i need..from the 12 colours which has the same code there is 4 blues,the car is a XE Blue '84 Falcon
what do i do, pls help

Try ringing your local Ford dealer. Make sure you tell them the model and year as you have here and they should be able to help. I think the Max Ellory books might also have the paints listed. They sell those at K mart in the auto section so go in and

Ford Dealer will be able to look up their intranet site for the original details from the VIN number, or for that matter most larger places will make it for you

thanx guys. to matt, i did get 1L of paint matched from a big paint company but its way of "the car is blue and what they mixed up was more silver".
ill check ford out thanx
