Ok does any one have a gregorys or haines manual as to how to rebuild rear brake calipers off a hz stato as i have 2 manuals and the both just have frnt caliper rebuilds and rear drum rebuilds but no rear and as i pulled the caliper apart the other day and had the parts in order as with all things the dog came in my work shed and knocked every thing every where now i have a rough idea but would prefer to be 100% sure on which way things go back together

Go and see a brake place. If they are nice people that will photocopy an exploded view for you. I remember doing some on a Torana many moons ago. I remember it not being fun, but too long ago for specifics. Note that UC Torana, A9X, XB/XC Ford are the sam |

the best way i have found to keep bolts/nuts/washers in order is to stick them into a bit of polystyrene packaging foam. works well for keeping pusrods and rockers etc. in the correct order too.

yes well i hadn't intend for it to be apart for more then a few hours when i went to get a rebuild kit for them i was informed theres none in australia i had to get pbr to especialy make me up the kit with a 3 week wait :\ and then 15 minutes before i wen

i fitted disc brakes to the rear of my HZ ute last week and also rebuilt the calipers at the same time. I got 2 'kits' from perth brake parts but all this came with was the piston seal, dust boot and handbrake shaft seal and handbrake o ring... not much f

The other problem from memory is the pistons rust and are about $100 a piece. |

I got the full rebuild kit ordered in through coventrys from pbr, it had all seals and boots new guide pins new piston new gasket new ball bearings it was $110 per side, my pistons were shot i poped it out and the inside was horrid looked like sludgey mud
