650dp is way too big for your 250 six.

You'll only double your fuel bills and have a car that bogs down whenever you put the foot down.

There's more to making power than throwing the largest carby you can find on your car.

Maybe you could find a

Thanks: 1 times
The 650 DP might even be too big for the 302? Is the 302 stock? Is it a Clevo or Windsor? I'm running a 600 vac sec on my 351 and it performs pretty good around town. As munromad says overcarbing can be worse for performance than undercarbing. Go with

How improved is the airflow on the 351? like the guys have said - its easy to over carb and while a 351 is a big motor - unless its breathing well the carby isn't the only place you'll make HP.

As a burnout car you want a oslid motor that hangs togethe

A 650dp on a 302 is good if it's got a reasonable camshaft. A mate of mine has one on his 302. His camshaft has around 214@50 duration and just over 500thou lift.
