Hey i know its possible to weld a standard diff to spin LSD, but what weld would be stongest? and ne special sticks u need?

I have a arc welder.

ya better off spooling it m8 as welding car warp the center iv had this prob best was is to spool mate

bit like a locker diff . you need to check the after market suppliewr ofr a diff spool to suit .

Welding is a dumb idea in a street car wears tyres and is illegal anyway.

You would get the best results from using a low hydrogen electrode and a wee bit of pre and post heat these electrodes have a greater tensile strength when you weld the sun gears in your diff. DO NOT cool down quickly as weld will go hard and brittle and

Have you done the welding yet? I have done heaps of them for Speedway and heres a few tips.
1. To get the centre out, remove cover plate, drain oil, LEAVE WHEELS ON GROUND, then CRACK the diff centre bolts loose. They are REVERSE thread. ie. CLOCKWISE t
