Hey cannon...you better do some research before declaring something a fake. Late 74 HQ vans didn't have the side vents behind the door, only the earlier models... and the one on Ebay is one of the very last being Oct 74. Hi Guys.
To all the panel van experts out there.
I realise that the panel van side vents disappeared in 74 HQ, but when did the longer lower tailgate hinges appear. Was it at the same time or was it at the HJ model change ?

Hi Dr. T, I always thought the change was at the HX or possibly later HJ. I had a 5-75 HJ in 1980 and it had the short hinges.
Oh and cannon, look a bit closer at that ebay van and you will see it is actually a HJ Sandman with a Statesman nosecone, not

Yeah your absolutely correct sandman 77,they will go through the roof.There are hardly any about by virtue of what they are.You cant exactly go out and buy one anymore. cheers Rob.

I bloody hope so ,, it can not be far away ,, and something I do know the late HQs did not have flutes behind the doors .. I know this because I own a genuine 1 plates have never been removed and its a Q

Original Sandman vans I predict will suddenly rocket in value when people realise there just isn't that many around. A lot of them were customised and modified during the van craze and after that....

Dont talk about things like this HQ,I traded my ute in "81"so I could get married.I still havent recovered from it. LOL. Its hard to imagine what they will be worth in the not too distant future.I probably will never recover as they go up. LOL. Cheers
