Are you sure you're not talking about standard XU-1 boxes with the 899 cluster? The 2.32:1 1st gear box has a cluster unique to this box and an L34 race box. Input shaft part number starts with EREW

yep.
i would have sold easily over 400 aussie boxes over the years.

i am saying there must have been more than a dozen made.

i even pulled one out of a rusty HT work hack i brought for $50.

yes, the 2.32 1st gear 6 cyl box is what i am talking

Standard XU-1 boxes have a 2.54:1 1st gear. There were plenty of those around. The 2.32:1 box is so rare it's almost myth.
