Wasn't there a VL series 2? Different head restraints and minor changes to engine oil galleries were the biggest upgrades.

The VL is a classic, I'd like a dollar for every time I've heard someone mention a VL series 2.
There were many mid-model changes in the VL series, but they all occurred at different times. This is exactly the point, GM-H have been doing |

WB Series II VQ Series II (virtually a separate model series, because it is the VP upgrade of the VQ. Interestingly Holden put VQ & VQ II together for parts listing purposes). VP II VR II VS II & III VT II VX II VU II V2 II & III VY I |

The same for the V2s, the series I is a VX, series II is a VY and a series III is a VY series II.
VN had no series II.

Yes Holden has certainly made a mess of their "Series X" thing. As Terry says, VZ 06 has some major changes eg 6.0L.
How about LC series II? (tongue in cheek) ie introduction of 173. Or LX series 2 when RTS or ADR27A were introduced? (again tongue in c |

HR Safety Upgrade (Sept '66) EH Upgrade 179 Man, P/st etc. (Feb '64) FC '59 Upgrade Seat Trim & Paint schemes. HQ - 4 Yearly Upgrades ?? HZ mid-model Upgrade (June '78)
Noe of these are called series x.

HJ Sandman series II? Apparantly when XU3 was added, XX7 got derated GVW and Kingswood Sandman disappeared.
HT series II, when GTS350 introduced and glass changed (or at least changed the manufacturers marks).
HG ute/van series II with 173 and 202.
