Its OK for a 308, but with big tyres and an LSD they do break especially with a manual - ask any Brock owner. Drive sensibly and they are alright. For performance work youd be better off with a 9" or a VN diff especially as parts are much easier to get ho |

What sort of diff does a VN have? Do they fit straight in or do they need mods? Do other model commodores run the same diff?

VN has a Borg Warner 4 pinion 28 spline centre. not sure if LSD was standard though, good chance they were

What would the ratio be in a VN V8 LSD disc brake rear end?

When suggesting an efi motor for the conversion everyone is sugesting a motor out of a VN/VP. Isthere a reason the later model motors, say VR/VS are not as good?

Later engines have to have the Memcal changed to remove the body control module input. They are actually better though in one way as the speedo input to the ECU is 10 pulse per rev and dont need an adapter like the earlier which need 2 pulse per rev. The |
