Its not that bad! Petrol has risen, but so are wages.

We have turned into a country full of whingers. While it will genuinely affect some, the other 95% of complainers will manage if they are willing to sacrifice something.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions , there are several ideas I can take on board.
I guess high fuel prices are here to stay like it or not and it is necessary to closely examine spending patterns and re-adjust priorities.

it would be sad to let go such a classic. lately i thought about selling my tonner before i invest too much into it.in the end i decided its so hard to to find good examples of old cars it would be better just to stick it in the shed cover it up and de-re

i had to jump in with my two bobs worth,
wages have not gone up for 15 years/ except for some pockets, as a matter of fact, in 1985 i used to get $25.00 per hour as a chippy,,
carpenters are getting $35.00 per hour,??? now?? 22years later??

i dont have to worry, cause in the last 2 weeks i hsve won tatts and powerball, and keno, 19 times,,but they were all 5th divisions,, so tonight i have decided to stop mucking around, and get the lot!!!

The answer to our fatsos isnt as technical as our crap fuel prices...Build all fast food joints w/out drive throughs nor car parks and put them at the top of a hill

looks like we are all wondering what will happen to us. will our kids be able to live on their own. let alone buy a house or run a nice car. we will end up in the desert living like Mad Max 2 and fighting for fuel. it gets bad when the guy down the street

take advantage of the lpg rebate while its here, gas will go up but it will be still cheaper than petrol,
both my daily drivers are on gas a VT and VS v6`s.
I had my VT done 2 weeks ago and got the rebate back in 1 week.

Most of these cars are vintage now, and no air con
parking spots have shrunk in size in recent years.
they are weekend / monthly toys.
have a hyundai as a daily driver, sensible.
