Hey oldcars let the people speak - you've voiced your opinions more than enough on this thread! From what i can tell Duzty is mearly suggesting there could be a better way than taking people's cars away from them, and that's through education. I tend to

Hi Guys.

I've been watching this thread & listening to a wide range of views, some logical & some just plain stupid.

However, I think Roesnberg has it in one. While we all think that hooning on public streets is bad, there are better places for it.
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Your never going to get rid of hoons completely, its human nature to challenge and oppose laws.

However if the government were to change a few laws it would greatly restrict there oportunities.

or even easier, give all the hoons those pretend mucsle cars such as: A9X L34 and Brock Commodore's, then they have no chance of turning the tyres or going fast....lol just dont give them anything before 1973(i'll raise it 1 yr for real muscle cars)cos th

Yes, clamping down on offenders only (fines/license etc.) is better than restricting the type of cars they can drive.

With the current NSW laws, a P plater is not allowed to drive a gutless 4.2 HZ auto wagon, but is allowed an VZ/VE SV6, w

its funny ive had "souped up cars with mag wheels" and never lost a point, I did however do my licence when driving my bog stock NC fairlane and my wifes un modified aside form a set of mudflaps suzuki baleno.

I love modified cars and have dificulty u

Why have "restrictions for OFFENDERS only" what about the ones that KILL or are KILLED before they get caught i would say education is the answer and a go on the skid pan so they know how to handle when thing do get out of hand, you dont need power for th
