Most trailer wheels are HT Holden. Mullins still makes them for this application. The wheel in the photos is an HT Holden 5" wheel. PCD for L34 and A9X Torana wheels is 4.75".

just fit HQ hubs and you can then run hq rims. the hubs should bolt straight on.
I think some bmw rims fitted also, I have a strange set of rims on my car trailer they are 14" 5 stud but not quite holden, I was told they were bmw.

Also the Valiant/Chrysler and Ford rims have a larger stud hole so if the studs are Holden they will be too small and that could be unsafe. 1/2" against 7/16" I think.
And any trailer place will sell you a set of hubs and drill the stud holes to whatever

I used to have 13 X 7 Speedy turbine ( Torana pattern ) on my trailer but tyres for those were hard to get. So,as Johnperth has suggested, commodore wheels are a dime a dozen, so I went to Pick n Payless and bought a set of VN rotors. They bolt straight o |

Thanks everyone. I got the numbers from the rim: 5JJx14 5/74 ROH 33.87kA That's all that's written. No 'Holden' stamp. Tyre guy says that's because the rim was made after market. Tyre guy says it is definitely HT, says I need, to copy it, a Edited by user Tuesday, 16 September 2008 1:00:35 AM(UTC)

Looking at that rim I would go out on a limb and say that its a Ford style rim that was manufactured with a HT Holden stud pattern (look very closely where the stud holes are).
It is also too flat between where the hub cap mounts and the vent slo |

Yes, Jim, thanks for that. But would Ford rims give me any better clearance, or at least the same? i.e. it Ford backspace typically 3.75" or less?
I'm planning to measure the axle and get a price for a longer axle and see what I think about that.

Jim I was under the impression that the HT rims made especially for the trailer trade did not have the lugs for the hubcaps so hubcaps could not be fitted, this could be the different appearance you noted.
As for fitting new axles etc, as the commy rims

Hi Guys.
Mythbuster & Jim5.0 are on the money, these are aftermarket trailer/caravan wheels made by ROH, AFAIK they are still made today.
If all you need is a spare, then just get a standard 5" HT/HG rim. If you want to upgrade it to something more |

OK I measured the backspacing of a bunch of Ford rims. Stock 14X6" (XD-ED) are 4.5 inch so are the 15X6.5 Turboblades (EA Fairmont Ghia). The 15X7" Globe Bathursts that I have are 4.75 inch backspacing (15X7 Snowflakes have about the same backspacing too) Edited by user Friday, 19 September 2008 11:40:36 PM(UTC)

I did get a new HT a couple of years ago, from Beaurepair in Katherine. But the backspace was too great and it rubbed on the trailer body. Mystified everyone. They dec

 Here is a picture of an original HT/HG wheel. This one is about to be scrapped as its very rusty around the valve stem. It has 4.25" backspacing to the wheel mounting face ( Edited by user Wednesday, 24 September 2008 10:55:54 PM(UTC)

What Ive done is buy another axle. 1.5" longer. I hope thats going to be enough to solve the problem for me.
