All red/blue/black 6's share the same big end journal size, hence the blue/black rods fit in a red. You can pick the 149 steel crank from other 138-186 cranks the same way to pick any forged crank from a cast one - by the nature of the joint mark on the n

Ok guys time for the inside line with the V6 swap. I'm about 3/4 way through my EH Ute conversion and the cost and time involved is starting to take its toll!! Don't get me wrong the end result is worth the work but depends one the amount of time and mone

Ask Cut55 how many Turbo 700's he's killed behind his FJ (2or3?). E reckons his previous Trimatic outlasted them all, but he's going manual now . Aren't u Charles ?

Good deal. You should be able to find someone to take the VK off you for around what you paid for it. Or advertise you are wrecking it and you should get most of the $250 back for panels, headlights, bars and diff.

I have run a tricked up trimatic behind my turbo charged 208 stroker but found on the way rod runs ( interstate driving) i wanted another gear so I purchased the castlemain rod shop kit for the turbo700 box it has been in my fj since january I am now on m

There are no significant differences between blocks cast HP, 179 or 186, except that the 186s were already bored out to 3.625". They will all go to 186 + .040, good ones will go + .060 or + .080

The HP casting are just 179s made up to Nov
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
