R8Y is a sales item, and V2 do not use sales items when they were introduced in VY, they continue to use smart packs. However as HSV stuff is so hard to get a view of it seems the HSV Coupe did use sales items.

See pages 259 for VY with sales item and 260 for VY without. 263 and 264 for WK.

I do not know why V2 series II and III did not use sales itmes and the Coupe did. Are there any other sales items used on HSV Coupe?

This is what the VY parts book says:

COUPE GTO 8VX 37 & XY7/XY8
COUPE GTO LE 8VX 37 & XY7/XY8

R8Y SALES ITEM NO.74 - 8VK 69 - 8VM 43 - HSV

But will add that R8Y is a sales item on GTO. (could you supply one of the tags for the update book, as this will require a new tag in the book)

Congratulations Warren, this book looks great. I received mine on Monday last.

Firstly, I'll to declare to others on the forum, my interest in this, as I helped with the project itself. But having said that, with almost everything these days seemingly sourced from China, it is refreshing to see an Australian printed & bound publication for a change. It was worth the wait.

The book is hard cover & bound old-school style & will still good for many years (read decades) to come.

The shear amount of info it contains, has to be seen to be believed. A friend of mine who was looking over it commented that it will make "instant armchair experts" out of many guys on the web.

Well done Warren.

The whole idea of writing books like mine & Warren's is to have a reference to stop 'pub arguments' getting out of control.

These books are not 100% perfect, but they are lot better than what was around in previous years.

I give up these days, you simply can't educate the pub-story idiots, and all they do is drag you down to their level trying. Easier to co-habitate with people of your own IQ level who still have open minds.
Cheers,

Mick

Hi Mark,

Web designer told me only people with NZ IP will see the NZ shipping.

But to save hassle I shall wear your extra postage, just go for the $15 Australian postage.
