Heres a beauty! It belongs to Fred....and not Lister. I never did like Lister but Fred seems like a nice guy!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/X...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Its mint apparently, if you look beyond the rust stains, flaking paint and general appearance of a 35 year old panel.

Sometimes I think that people list stuff like this just so they can appear on this topic!

I dont tell people what they want to know, I tell them what they need to know!

Craig, I beleive you are the clown. I assume you feel you need to be noticed which is why you constantly post a new message on your own original post so your name is up the top. People will pay what they need to for parts at the time, if it is more that what you think is is worth then you tend to post yet another listing. Your last post has a bid already, you beter e-mail him and say he is being ripped off. I suggest you stop searching for this kind of stuff and actually work on a car. I am sure everyone is getting sick of this post coming to the top all the time.

AAh...I love it when an Ebay Seller like xbcoupe comes on here and identifies himself.

So mate, which of the items in this topic is yours? Maybe youve been on here more than once and are getting a little upset?

But yeah, thanks for bringing the topic up.

I dont do this for myself, I do it so that more people will realise that there is an increasing number of people on Ebay who are actively trying to screw them on parts prices. They take advantage of an artificially created parts drought and are just greedy pricks.

I try and persuade people, indirectly, to be patient with thier parts hunting and therefore pay less. When I was a young bloke, my dad could go to a swap meet and still find parts for his 1939 Buick, back then they were 40 year old cars but the parts were around. Its not the same with old Falcons because greedy pricks are storing them up waiting to pounce for the big $$$ kill.

The end result is the cars become the domain of rich bastards who DONT DRIVE THEM!!!! Which means that we all miss out seeing these cars being driven on our roads, where they should be seen.

The average bloke ends up having to sell his project car because he cant afford to finish it as the parts are too expensive and hard to find.

Its lose/lose for the average Joe and the Ebay clowns listed above are all (or mostly) part of the problem.

PS: Im working on a car now, I have sold a heap of parts on Ebay over the years and never bid on my own things. I hold a very small collection of spare parts, basically if Im not going to need it then someone else should get the opportunity to get the part he needs for his car, you never know, you may actually see this car of his on the road one day and you will have helped put it there.

I dont tell people what they want to know, I tell them what they need to know!

Maybe this forum and this topic is starting to get seen by more people.

Maybe people will be less greedy and let the market decide what the parts are worth without these ridiculous starting prices that make other interested observers think that the piece of sh/t parts they have must therefore also be worth a fortune.

I watched a complete set of GT Tramp rods, U-bolts and brackets sell on Ebay for $188 the other day, an absolute bargain!!!!! Ive seen just tramp rods alone sell for far more than that, it just proves if you are patient, you dont need to be screwed by the Ebay bandits.

My Ebay purchases;

XB Radio Cassette $12 (I just needed to repair the knobs)
Aircon/heater tap (NEW)$35
Disk Brake Proportioning valve $40
Power by Ford rocker covers $100 (cheapest Ive ever seen them)
Vinyl roof chrome trim $9
Complete Dash, all gauges inc pad, glove box suit GT $450

They are out there, just wait.

I dont tell people what they want to know, I tell them what they need to know!

Not so much a clown but possibly a tad foolish....

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/I...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If someone with a sense of humour was to click on the buy it now option, even though the item is sold, the seller will incur a $40 Ebay fee.....go on, you know you want to! =-)

A couple of people have enlightened him and hes changed the ad.

Every time I look at Ebay, which is about ten times daily, there is always something non-GT being advertised as GT.

The only refreshing thing I have noticed is the slowly downward spiral of the cost of repro parts. Moneys getting tight and greed is giving away to necessity.

Time to start buying up if you have the cash!
