Yeah but in order to use these tags youll already need to have a coupe and if youre just going to change the identity of the one you own to match a set of tags you bought on Ebay I think youd be aiming for a lot higher than some POS XC with a 302!

About the only person these would be attractive to is someone with a shell that has lost its tags and though I dont doubt these are around there cant be too many.

Theyd go a long way towards helping some thieving lowlife to reregister someones pride and joy after hes gone and ripped it off.
The sooner the car enthusiast community wake up and attack these tag sales and the idiots that are paying the bucks, the better we all would be.
Even if someone buys them to put on a tagless car, it opens you all up to fraud because youll be buying something it aint.
Supposed to be new laws prohibiting the trading/removal of tags but nobody told the politzia ?

A genuine GT V6 Capri. Shame its had a 4 cylinder Capri engine bay grafted into it.

The obvious differences are that the radiator support panels hold the radiator further back on 4 cyl models and this one has clearly been cut to suit the wider V6 radiator so basically the radiator is in the support panels not behind them.

There are two triangular gussets missing from the rear corners of the bay. V6 models have the brake lines traversing the engine bay across the top virtually in front of the compliance plate whereas the fours had them arching over the front of the tunnel (where you cant see them).

The hardest thing to replicate is that the battery sits in a 1" or so recess in the passenger side inner guard. The recess is not there on this car.

Like someone has pointed out on a Capri email list $10,000 reserve not met and it comes without a RWC. They have also asked the seller a barrage of questions.

give this one a go guys, I have thought some of the items brought up on here are marginal on what people could pay, but this guy takes the cake. And yes, the price is correct after asking.

They are cheap compared to the NOS ZC Fairlane boot badge that sold for $2200+ a while ago.

A used one that still had its plastic insert (hard to come by) went for $255 (from memory) a couple of weeks ago.

You just copy the first half of the URL up to the end of the item number and then paste it in your reply:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...wItem&item=220326256447

You can copy the whole URL but it messes up the whole window and then a moderator has to shorten the URL anyway.

Jumping jiminys!!!!

Those are some world class ****ers!

Badges: Well, when the repros look no different to the real thing how can you justify spending that much on a badge? Wheres the $$$$, in the cardboard box?

GT: Haha, he must live out in the middle of nowhere and has only just turned on the internet. Has a lot to learn.

Are the repros that good? I have a pair of Falcon GT badges that are repro and a real pair of Capri GT badges.

I bought the Falcon badges as you cant get the correct Capri ones but then I found a pair of Capri ones at a swap meet.

The difference in quality is highly visible around the edges of the red parts as the "trough" is just not as defined on the repro.

Dunno. Basing my opinion on the XBGT grill badge. Absolutely no difference except the Ford oval is erased on the back of the repro.
