Have a good read of this ad, its amusing. Its apparently a factory option aircon setup, which it aint, but then he goes on to say it looks better than a factory fitted one...which it aint, and how the hell one of these things sticking out the bottom of your dash can look better than one that is completely hidden is beyond me!! Huh???? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/X...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Its a dealer fitted aircon setup ya clown!! They are a horrible looking thing anyway. I dont tell people what they want to know, I tell them what they need to know! Edited by user Monday, 5 January 2009 7:15:10 AM(UTC)

In reference to lying scumbag, I think thats a bit harsh mate, no im not the one selling it. But i would go for more along the lines of mis informed individual. If it was around 250 bucks then I would hit buy it now,.. It is a bit over the top price wise in my opinion, as always my opinion may not be yours and thats cool. lets face it be it a gs or a gt bonnet , they are becoming hard to get in that condition. I have a perfect gt bonnet, 2 actually , 1 gs bonnet and a standard one in the shed for rainy days, and they will eventually go onto one of my cars. Cant see me ever selling any of them. But i will always buy more at a REASONABLE market value. to me 500 is rough, 800 is downright ridiculous. make it 250 and I will hang it in my shed with the rest of em.

Hey craig, sold one of them air con set ups a while ago to a bloke from tassie. think I got around 400 for it from memory. I sold it coz i scored a factory (u cant see me) air con setup at a bargain price. I agree, under dash as opposed to integrated, I will take integrated, but at lease the under dash wasnt on compliance plates so if ya want air con but ya plates dont show it, least ya can cheat and use the underdash units.

Ive seen GS bonnets at swap meets in reasonable condition for $200 and less, GT ones I have seen for $300.
There are a lot of these bonnets around and they are only priced as they are because people are hoarding parts, not because they are rare. I know a bloke who has 8 GT bonnets!!!!
If you are chasing one just dont rush into buying an expensive one, get off your arse and do some scrounging and youll find one cheap.

I came up with $610 being quite the rogue on my prices. Soooo, just possibly 1500 is a little over the top.

I wonder how many times hell list them? =-)
His only chance at getting even the $610 is if there is someone out there that needs every single one of those parts without exception....ha, good luck!
$610, yeah thats quite the rogue alright. I think if he put $300 hes probably struggle. Thats why it baffles me, just put it up for .99 cents and youll soon find out what people reckon its all worth.

I would say $1 as its a certainty the bidding will be fierce. You have a sought after item there.

Yep, thatll work, the market will tell you exactly what its worth, the only time it doesnt is when sellers start bidding on thier own stuff and creating an artificial benchmark for prices.
Put it up for 99 cents, that way it will attract heaps of bidders and all it takes is two of them to get excited.
If you have an absolute bottom dollar price in mind then put that as its reserve and you are guaranteed to get what you want.
Personally, Im no big fan of NOS panels, I think they are overpriced and not worth it. For example, if a NOS GT bonnet is worth $2000 and you can get a half reasonable one for say $400 surely you can have less than $1600 spent on it to get it to as new condition? Same with doors, see em all the time on Ebay, NOS XB sedan door skin, $600, WHATTHA!!!! why not just buy a $50 one from a wreckers and spend a couple or three hundred and have it fixed up nice, end result is it cost you less than a NOS one and looks just as good.
The only thing that is good to have NOS are mechanical parts that wear out, like steering boxes, switches, pumps etc, because reconditioning these parts, though cheaper, can quite often give you a less than perfect part.
