G'day guys
Going to replace the Wheel bearings in my HX panelvan. Is it worth getting 1 tonner kits with the heavier retainer? Or no real advantage, or just overkill for a shed dweller/weekend cruiser. Id appreciate your thoughts

overkill imo

I use the std kits on the Salisbury in the race car
no problems in nearly 15 years

but buy decent kits (no chinese garbage)

Footnote....
Timken wheel bearings were $35 each & about $10 more for the 1 tonner ones. So after the advice on here, I ordered the standard ones, & the next day they turned up & they had the heavy duty retainer in them. Not sure if that was luck, or may only do the 1 kit now. Anyway I saved some money
