Ok a simple question, with no real answer in ALL my manuals.

HOW TO GET THE ARMS OFF !!!!

I can see a springy thing near the drive shaft, which doesnt do much. Probably seized on right ? Am I warm ? Surely they dont just pull off.

Whats the secret ?

Cheers John

Yep! They just pull of. Some of them have a little clip that hooks under spline so make sure you slide it sideways a bit. I then use a large screwdriver and lever them up using my left hand as a fulcrum on the bonnet with a few rags under. It is a good id

yes thought as much...press the tiny spring at the spline end, lots of wd40, and while pushing the spring outward, pull off the arm.....easy....phew.
