Two of Australias most highly honoured motorsport identities of 2009 will appear in a new range of TV commercials being shot by Australian restoration parts company, Rare Spares.

V8 Supercar driver-of-the-year and Barry Sheene Medal winner, Will Davison and 2009 V8 Supercar Hall of Fame inductee, John Bowe, both of whom are brand ambassadors for Rare Spares, have put the final touches together on three TV commercials that go to air early in the New Year.

Firstly can I say that Rare Spares are extremely proud to have such credentialed sportsman as our brand
ambassadors. Both of them are very worth winners of their awards and we congratulate them on their achievements, said Rare Spares David Rayner.

With the support of our national Distributors, we decided to dramatically increase on presence on television in 2010 and we wanted our new commercials to be something special. By using John and Will, we are using two standout performers both on the track and now in our TV commercials.

Whilst Mr Rayner wouldnt give much away on the concept of the Rare Spares new commercials, he did say Coincidently John and Will won the Bathurst 1000 exactly 20 years apart; John in 1989 and Will in 2009. One in a Ford and one in a Holden. I think youll find these sorts of facts may creep into the new commercials.

The TV commercials are the brainchild of automotive marketing specialists, DBC and will feature on the ONE HD network, starting in mid January.
