the horn suddenly stopped working on the VR.
Checked the leads, no continuety from the earthing (black)wire at the steering column, no power at the green lead to the horn.
the horn does work I connected power straight to it and got sound.
found no continuety from the fuse under the bonnet and power to the relay but no power to the horn. as I understand it there should be continual power to the horn.
ran a new earth from chassis to horn and it works. I suspect there is a break in black wire, does anyone know where the wire emerges from the steering column?
thanks.

In the column is the usual brass contact, and the wire off it is yellow - you can see it at the top between where the 2 wands fit into the plastic retainer.
Cheers,
