have a one tonner front,but a stanard hq plastic grill is to small.
are the metal tonner grills bigger...

AFAIK they are the same size, just the extra blinkers on the HQ-HZ tonner nosecones compared to a standard HQ Belmont/Kingswood/GTS nose. |

no they are the same
the plastic grills are actually a terrible fit, it's not unusual to have 5-10mm gap in places
have a look at any HQ up close, you'll see the gaps, from a distance you can't tell
