My GEN111 motor, 6 months old, (4,000K) emits an awful clatter if not started for a couple of days. Clearly, the cause is lack of oil pressure until the pump catches up. Even when it is thoroughly warmed up, a distinct 'clatter' from the bottom end is evident.
Is this typical of the GEN 111 engines or have I cracked it for a lemon??
Needless to say, I will be taking it up with the dealer next month at the 6 months service.
