Okay, more questions for you very helpful bunch.

Which setup should I go for, Early block 308 with late injection setup from VN, or a 350 Chev with throttle body injection setup? Not to familiar with throttle body injection setups, however it appeals to me as it will provide more power than a 308, keep the engine bay looking a bit more traditional, plus give me the reliability of and injection setup.

What are throttle body injections like? How do they go with reliability and mileage in mind? And does anyone have an idea of what sort of dollars I would be looking at to have the conversion done, considering an engineer's certificate and all accessories will be required.

I think the Holden Suburban had a TBI 350. As the HQ had a 350 standard it is easy for an Engineer to make the car comply. The only problem with HZ's and Chevs is ADR27A. But as the Suburban complied with Australian ADR's, it will be pretty easy to pass -
