Hi,

I have a 1992 Series 1 VP Commodore. When I'm driving along and don't accelerate for a while (more than 10 sec) the oil warning light comes on the dash. The switch has been replaced and the problem still occurs.

Also if I'm driving down a hill it seems to come on quicker.

Does anybody have any opinions on why this would be happening ? Also the oil level is fine.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

The oil pump was changed when the swith was done. Like I said before the light will only come on if you are driving along and you have not touched the accelerator for a while.

The car still drives as normal and does not
