im after a big block chev to build up into a 502ci. i have found a 402 reasonably cheap so im just wondering if the 402 shared the same block as the 454?

402 BBCs are later model 396 blocks. I have seen them made into 454s. Bore and stroke them, but the bores end up very thin and IMO a risky business.(I have seen one split a cylinder). 502s are a different block again from a 454.
