G'day all
i own a HQ ute that i have desided to restore into a HX sandman ute.
Just wondering what options there were with the sandmans and what i have to do to make the transformation as close to real as posiable. thanks all

Why as a HX???? Awful lot of work. Why not do it as a HQ Sandman ute? Much rarer, plus probably more valuable in the long run, and HEAPS easier to achieve.

The cowl panel is one thing, but there are other things on a HQ that are harder to change to HX. Like the entire dash panel, retractable seatbelt mounts, body side flutes etc.

No doubt. Lots of the good ones had turrets chopped off and ute ones added as well. The only place you find good vans nowadays is inland, but they usually have buggered chassis'.

Pete.
