G'day all,
I want to know if a v8 salisbury diff will go into a 6 without any hassles or do you have to change the saddles or anything?

The V8 salisbury diff will fit all holdens HQ up to WB the only thing you will need to change is the tail shaft,as the salisbury has bigger universals,you will only need to change saddles if you want to put a sedan diff into a ute or a ute diff into a sed

Yeah thanks for the reply Steve,
My mates ute already has a salisbury diff, but its a 6 and he mainly just needs to know if the 6cyl. salisbury is the same as a V8 salisbury, as far as universals and tailshaft length etc.Cheers.Russ.

the only 6cyl holden that had a salisbury fitted at the factory, were the 1 tonners,all 6 and v8 1 tonners had bigger universal joints than any thing else,the salisburys are all the same size wise,if this diff was fitted at a later stage it may

Be careful if it's a WB, as ALL examples had a Salisbury. There are two different sizes, and the 6cyl utes/vans had a little Salisbury which is just a disguised banjo. The WB tonner continued as per HQ-HZ. I think you could order the Salisbury on any Hold |
