crazy idea, i know you can create constant spark through a circut, similair to set up in "flame kits" well i was thinking perhaps you could have six or eight small coils, and make up control boxes for each, then you could use the distributer some how to trigger each contol box for awsome hot spark.

What do you guys think?

mate for all the trouble and time just buy a m.s.d, it would probably cost more than $440 anyway , cheers

Thanks for the input woodsy,

I started the thread to explore the posibility of doing this. I would be proud to acomplish the same idea with second hand parts. Personally $440 would be better off left in my bank.

MSD, Crane, Mallory or Procomp will all do the trick. Procomp being the cheapest of the bunch.

yeah thats all good, but i am not interested in these MSD, Crane, Mallory etc. i want to make my own.

I reckon you'll be pushing s**t up hill to find any info. Anyone who knows will make it themselves and sell it. Not pass on the details for free.

You could look into making large dizzy caps that allow the use of two coils and leads. That way you get o
