I am doing up a standard HK Monaro, below are the tag numbers and stuff.

Body ID: BODY: HK337M-22470B
TRIM: 356-18X
PAINT: 568-9713

VIN: 80337KH126947
Chaissis: HK48215B

If anyone can help me with identifying what the specs are of this car (including what year it was made, and month is possible?) it would help me out a lot. I want to do it up original, so this means trying to get some photos of what the standard HK monaro looked like as well (so if anyone could help in that department...?). One of the hardest things I have to work out is what the "console" looks like (its a three on the tree).

Is there anyone that can help me?

I can tell you that your car was originally Marlin Turquoise with a Buckskin Beige interior.

The only other information I can give you is that your car is indeed a Monaro (not a GTS) and was built in Brisbane.

Plus it was originally a manual.

Thanks Dave for the colour info.
Does anyone have any idea of motor and box (at a guess I was thinking 161 & 3-speed (since Byron Rich says it was a manual))?

It could have been any of the following combinations (I think they are all right but this is from memory):

161 3-speed (crash or all synchro).
186 3-speed (crash or all synchro).
186S 3-speed (crash or all synchro).
186 4-speed M20 (Opel).
186S 4-s

Thanks, I'll have a look later today (the car is at a friends house). From memory there are holes in the guards (but then again I have been looking at a fair few guards lately (at the Toowoomba Swap Meet) so I might be mistaken), but I'll check. I'll a

The speedo cable exits under the brake booster and there are holes in the front guards (two, one above the other). I hope this will help in identifying it.
Thanks

There wer eno HK to HG consoles at the Toowoomba swap that I saw, but they do come up time to time in Queensland.

Sounds pretty much like a 186 or 186S. Assuming it is a 3-speed by the column shift and lack of hole in floor, we need to decide if it was a crash box or synchro. Does it have a hydraulic clutch or mechanical clutch? Hydraulic clutch is crash box. Mechani

I have a console that looks more like a dicki seat, as in there are no compartments on it. Would this be the console I'm looking for?
I can't say for sure about the hydraulic vs. mechanical clutch thing cause the engine bay has been stripped. However,
