G'Day all, Just a simple question . Can someone tell me what the standard tyre size is for a HR. Just so I can get an idea on tyre/wheel width to suit 15"on my HR Panny. I was thinking of 14" from a HK but 15" seem like a better way to go.
Thanks.......

Standard, as in originally? About a 6.00 or 6.50 crossply, IIRC. In radial terms about a 155 or 165 by 13 on a 4½" wide rim.
Cheers...Dave

The HK's rims fit. BUT beware that if you use Mag wheels that the Lock nuts can pull with such force upon tightening that it will literally pull the Mag over the Brake drum. Forcing (bending) the drum to rub against the Brake linings! I've done it! And y Edited by user Wednesday, 22 February 2006 6:47:27 AM(UTC)

15" low profile tyres can be smaller than 13" stock crossplys.
In fact my 16" 225/40 on the rear of my EH are smaller in circumference than original crossplys. They are wider of course, that is obvious. Lowered about 3" and still doesn't touch any whee |

Volvo wheels are what you are after....15x6 so are insurance friendly a 205/55 15 is roughly the same size as a 205/65 13.

You just have to make sure you have clearance for the top ball joint...it may require use of a spacer but they are technically illegal unless they are fixed to the hub.
